WE’RE HIRING INTERNS FOR 2020!

Eager to join a kick ass team while building a solid events planning experience?? Well, jump aboard because we’re hiring interns for 2020!

As our team embarks on yet another packed event season in 2020, we are expanding our team. If you are seeking an event planning and design internship to complete your post-secondary education requirements or to gain experience and insight into an event planning career, this could be the fit for you. As an intern, what will you do? 

Any given day in the Love by Lynzie office is unique. We work on weddings, corporate events, craft workshops, television shows, one of a kind celebrations, and social media campaigns. Your day in the office could include:

-Web Content Creation, Blogging and Public Relations
-Event Logistics, Confirmation Calls and Event Administration
-Creation and Distribution of event documents including master itineraries, contact sheets, MC timelines, floor plans, checklists, and to do lists
-Coordination and set up of events
-Handcrafting décor, décor design and assembly
-Sourcing materials for décor and obtaining décor quotes from vendors
-Crafts, A LOT of crafts

What are we looking for? 

Our ideal candidates are extremely creative, outgoing, fashion forward, well spoken and excited about event planning and design. They think outside of the box when it comes to weddings and events and embrace non traditional ideas. They think on their feet, pay extreme attention to detail and pay attention to trends in the event, fashion and DIY worlds. They are punctual, diligent, eloquent and able to communicate both digitally and in client facing situations. Intern requirements include:

-Proficiency in word, excel and cloud storage platforms
-Understanding of multiple social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and more
-Must love crafting and creating handmade décor
-Experience with power tools, construction, and mixed media crafting is an asset
-Must have an interest in event design
-Must have a laptop
-Knowledge of WordPress, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign is an asset
-Knowledge of Mac based systems is an asset
-Access to a car is an asset

The internships will span events with our team from May 2020 until November/December 2020. Intern hours are flexible and will be approximately 12 hours a week plus event days.

-A cover letter telling us about yourself and explaining why you’d be a perfect fit for our company
-A list of your 5 “Must Follow” Instagram accounts and why
-A mood board- there are no rules here! The mood board can be about weddings, interior design, typography or anything else you’re passionate about! Put together something that visually represents you and your taste. The more creative the application, the better.
