Planning Your Wedding During COVID-19

Lynzie sat down with The VIP Collective’s host Corinne McDonald to discuss all things planning your wedding during COVID-19. Check out this video for her top tips on what to do if you are planning your wedding during this time of uncertainty. These simple steps will help you take the guess work out of planning when so much is currently up in the air!

Step 1) If you are planning a wedding between May to July 2020, actively work on postponing your event. If you are booked from August 2020 onward, we are suggesting having a clear contingency plan in place. Hold a new date with your venue. Learn which vendors are available on your new date and be ready to pull the trigger on this about 60 days in advance.

Step 2) Skip the formalities of wedding invitations and communicate with your guests in the easiest way possible- email. Ensure your guests know what is happening with your wedding through consistent communication that can come via email or your wedding website. Ensure they know about postponements, virtual attendance options and any other changes to your event plans.

Step 3) Poll your audience. Use a simple tool like Google Forms to figure out your guests’ response to your postponement plans. Gathering this data will help you make a clear decision about moving your wedding date.
